Exterior painters on the Central Coast

Exterior repaints and restorations that start with the preparation — because that's where most outside paint jobs fail.

Preparation first

Every surface prepared before a drop goes on.

The cheap exterior job looks fine on day one. The difference shows a couple of years later, when paint over a surface that wasn't washed, sanded or primed starts to flake, chalk and peel.

So the prep is done in full, and in order, before painting starts. Weatherboard, render, fibro and brick are brought back properly — stripped, repaired, sealed and then coated.

The prep, in order

  1. 01Wash
  2. 02Sand
  3. 03Fill
  4. 04Caulk
  5. 05Prime

What we paint outside

Walls, and everything that finishes them.

The main cladding is only part of an exterior. The fascia, eaves, doors and trim are what make a house look finished — or not.

Painting on the Coast

Salt, westerly sun and damp.

A house on the Central Coast takes more weather than most. Salt air, hard westerly sun and damp all work on an exterior finish — and they find every shortcut in the preparation.

That's why the prep sequence doesn't change from job to job, and why the coats go on properly rather than thinly. Dylan has lived on the Coast his whole life, and every job he paints here has his name on it locally.

What you can expect

The things that usually go wrong, done right.

  • We turn up when we said we would. For the quote, and for the job.
  • A fixed price, in writing. Not a number over the phone.
  • You deal with Dylan directly. The person quoting is the person painting — and the person you call if something's not right.
  • Two coats minimum. More where the colour needs it, not two and hope.
  • Taubmans paint. Named up front, so you know exactly what's going on your walls.
  • A walkthrough before we invoice. Every room, checked with you.

FAQ

Exterior painting questions

What affects the cost of painting a house exterior?

The size of the house, the number of storeys, the surfaces involved, their condition, and how much preparation and repair they need. Dylan measures up on site and puts a fixed price in writing, so you're comparing a real quote rather than a phone estimate.

How long does an exterior repaint take?

It depends on the size of the house, the prep and repairs it needs, and the weather. You'll know the timeline before any work starts.

What preparation is involved?

Washing, sanding, filling, caulking, priming and masking. It's the part that decides how long the finish lasts, so it's never skipped.

Which exterior surfaces do you paint?

Weatherboard, render, fibro and brick — plus the fascia, eaves, doors, garage doors and trim that finish the job.

What paint do you use?

Taubmans, with two coats minimum — more where the colour needs it.

Do you paint roofs?

No. Pristine Coat doesn't offer roof painting.
